Product Description DUMPED!Freddie is a well-bred, well-mannered, fluffy white dog -- not the sort you'd expect to get dumped. But that's what happens. Now he's on his own -- alone on the streets -- until he meets up with Spike, a watchdog-in-training, who's just not mean enough to satisfy his cruel junkyard master. Freddie helps his new friend escape, and together they set out, struggling through danger and adventure to find a new home. But can either one really trust humans again? And if so, will Spike's past life threaten his newfound happiness -- and Freddie's as well?

The Meanest Hound Around
By Bill and Carol Wallace Illustrated by John Steven Gurney
Freddie is a fluffy white dog that was abandoned by his boy`s dad. Then he meets Spike (a junkyad dog in training who is afraid of cats). He helps Spike escape from the junkyard and the evil canine Tiger (the strongest and scariest dog you will ever meet) and Roy (the wost human in the world). Then they have to travel far away. Along the way they have some exiting adventures. On the first one they must face off against coyotes. Then they face off evil geese. Then they finally find hosts, hosts who already have Jake (being a Bird Dog), Ding (being an old black dog), and Biff and Barkie (who happen to be puppy Pugs). Will these hosts welcome them or do they already have enough dogs? Read this book to find out! I gave this book a 5 star ***** rating and I recommend this book to poeple who like exiting animal books.
Great Book August 30, 2005 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This was the first book I read by Bill Wallace. It was a great book! I read it with my cousin, and we'd read it each day on the way to Bible School! I recommend it! And if you like this book, you'll probably like "Watchdog and The Coyotes", too!
